Jason J Harmon, ND, and Bethany Buchanan, ANP, came together in 2001, with a shared vision- to create Avante Medical Center, LLC. Their intent was for healing to occur when an individual enters Avante. Our spacious and beautiful design was created with this vision in mind, complementing our world-class medical care.

Avante’s medical providers and excellent staff excel in making each person’s visit a positive and memorable experience.  Our providers and staff truly embody our mission statement. 

At Avante, our mission of bringing together a world-class medical team has been based upon the term “progressive medicine.”  Patients are not required to choose “alternative” medicine or “conventional” medicine exclusively, but rather our providers focus on the best of both worlds, creating a blend of what best meets the needs of the individual.  This blend of personalized care allows for effective treatment of both chronic and acute medical concerns, with practitioners that range from Naturopathic doctors to Advanced Nurse Practitioners.  The medical team at Avante is second to none, providing comprehensive medical care in a warm, nurturing, and beautiful environment.

Our medical providers and staff work together to offer a wide variety of specialties, allowing patients access to a variety of options and choices. This allows for a “team” approach, which creates a complete, comprehensive medical experience.  For those services that Avante does not offer, each of our providers work with the medical community, within Anchorage and abroad, assuring that all your medical needs will be cared for in an appropriate and timely fashion.
