Women’s healthcare is one of our primary specialties at Avante whether you are 14 years old or 80 years old.

Having six practitioners specializing in women’s health care allows for patients to have access to the best modern approaches to creating a balanced and healthy body.  Combining science and nature allows for effective, less invasive ways of assisting women in improving their health.

The Nurse Practitioners, Bethany, Lori and Chris, besides being primary care providers, are all specialized in women’s health. They are experts in prescribing bio-identical hormone replacement. Between the three of them, they have over 20 years experience in prescribing bio-identical hormones, a field that becomes more popular every year.

Utilizing bio-identical hormone replacement for pre-menopause and menopausal symptoms is an excellent alternative to conventional hormone replacement and is usually better tolerated. These prescription hormones are chemically identical to the hormones women’s bodies produce and replacement for low levels helps many symptoms of menopause, without the side effects that usually come with conventional hormone replacement.

Our Naturopathic Physicians, Dr. Lush and Dr. Erickson, offer primary care and  are very familiar with helping women with all female concerns utilizing a non prescription approach via lifestyle changes, herbs, and homeopathy.

All the women’s healthcare providers at Avante provide routine screening services such as physical exams, pap smears, and breast exams. We order lab work, mammograms, recommend pelvic ultrasounds and refer to gynecologists when appropriate.
